At the same time as I love a physical keyboard, after managing the Samsung Captivate for about quarter-hour, it is hard to move back. At the moment I'm debating whether or not to visit Verizon for the Droid X, pass to Dash for the EVO, or stick with AT&T for the Captivate…selections, decisions.

I installed the 2.0.1 update last night (12/10) via OTA in Atlanta. Around 12:15am a popup appeared informing me it was available and prompting for permission to install.The only obvious UI change was that the slide to unlock is now a line instead a curve. The system definitely seems snappier now.

i manually update it. am i still going to get the notification to ota update or does it know i already did?

Jason,The OTA and the Manual update are the exact SAME. The Manual is just the same update file that will be pushed manually. Someone copied the file location of the OTA update and manually downloaded it to share is all.There is the combination 2.0.1 update and SuperUser update which enables Root/Superuser on the droid, but it's still the same 2.0.1 update.
