hey pbviously did not learn that lesson if they announced a date before they actually had anything ready. They should have not said anything until it was already released.

Also, I really, really, really hope they didn't just give out an arbitrary date again like they did in the past about GraffitiCMS! I hope they learned that lesson, and will actually follow through and announce something.

I think it's good as it does give options to those who have chosen GraffitiCMS to have some semblance of future for their deployments. The other option was Telligent letting it die on the vine, and leaving those deployments to suffer.GraffitiCMS might become a YAOS (Yet Another Open Source) project that goes no where, but it's something I suppose.I highly doubt I would compelled to switch back, but I do know some really good devs who were excited about GraffitiCMS, so maybe I'll be surprised.BTW - Any good articles on running WP on Azure? :) I saw the headline floating around, but didn't really look into it. It does sound very interesting though.

I honestly don't think it's going to go anywhere. Open-sourcing it is a total copout. It's a pretty half-assed product, and too many people have moved on for an open-source version to go anywhere. Now that Azure runs MySQL and WordPress, there really isn't much reason to use a Telligent product for any small-to-medium blog site.
