In 2005, I was amazed to be able to watch and listen to the events that were going on in the southern US during Hurricane Katrina. Quite a few people had provided webcams, news feeds and audio links of what was going on in real time in that area.
So as another hurricane season is in full swing, Gustav, Hanna, and possibly Ike, Josephine, and Kyle in the winds, which are all threatening to cause trouble once again. Here are some of the links of live feeds and information sources that I and others might find helpful over the next few days for remote monitoring of conditions down south.
